Installation and Setup Installation and Setup:
Install the Bibliography with the Setup-program you'll find on CD-ROM, combined with the delivered code. After setup the program is prepared to use. A new start of your computer isn't required.
Important:
Leave the CD-ROM in the disk driver during your whole work with the Bibliography.
Starting the program
Now, start the program with the just installed "Hemiptera"-Button on your desktop or with the start menu "Bibliography of Hemiptera". Good luck.
Search-tips
You can search in the database the bibliographic relevant fields through two indexes.
The indexes are:
1. Author / Editor
2. Keywords
You can do phonetic or combined searches.
Phonetic search:
Example: Type in the field author "Muller". The search shows no hits. Use the button … to open a new window "Search for Author". Type in the name "Muller" and press the button "Phonetic search". The window below will give you a few suggestions of names. Mark the authors name you choised (for example: Müller, Hans Joachim) and press the button "use selected". The database will show you automatically the hits for "Müller, Hans Joachim".
Combined search:
You can also search combinding a few fields.
Example: Type in the field Title "Membracidae" and in the field Keyword "new species".
Remarks: As far as I know the authors first name(s), it’s indexed with the full name.
Under "Periodical" you will find periodical congresses, mostly in English language. For example, the "Internationaler Kongress für Entomologie" you do search with the full title of the publication "Proceedings of the International Congress of Entomology". Are Congresses and Symposium only second parts of the title please, use the field Congress or the title-search. You will get the hits with the language of publication.
The orthography is used like author(s) did in the publication(s). LibraryServices hasn’t changed any citations orthography.

Searching in one or all documenttypes (please, use "All") is possible.

The database fields:
For every documenttypes there are special bibliographic relevant fields constructet (please, compare the documentation below). The fields could be different in the documenttypes. Mandatory fields are only used, when LibraryService could add the details (for example the "issue") without expense. In the field defining you will find the special addition "mandatory".
